Questions and Feedback
YOUR SIR BED
Place your mattress on a smooth flat base without any excessive hollows, humps or surface roughness. Your mattress is made from material which may shrink slightly. This has no effect on the quality of the product. Consequently, during the first few months of use we recommend that you turn your mattress regularly from the summer side to the winter side (for dual season mattresses) and from the head of the bed to the foot and vice versa.
Keep your mattress clean by using a mattress pad. Stains of whatever kind shall invalidate your guarantee and your mattress may not be repaired or replaced. Do not use liquid cleaners on your mattress. The chemical products they contain may damage some of the material in the mattress.
Be aware that our foam and latex products may give off an odour which is captured by the packaging and which disappears when you air the room.
Please be aware that the fire-resistant properties of our articles are reduced by washing. For “zip pillow top” models (mattresses equipped with a removable topper): the mattress must never be used without its topper.
YOUR BED BASE
It is specially designed to house the SIR mattress. Replace your base when you purchase a new mattress in order to provide your mattress with sufficient support.
The legs are fitted with threaded shanks which screw into the inserts provided below the bed base.
Your SIR bed (mattress and/or base) benefits from the provisions of articles 1641 and following of the French Civil Code concerning the legal guarantee of conformity. In the event of a dispute or complaint, the date taken into consideration for calculating the guarantee period shall be that of delivery of the product, formalised by the sale contract or delivery order.
The SIR mattresses and bases which you have just purchased come with a 5-year guarantee in accordance with the following conditions. In terms of size, these products are manufactured in compliance with European standard EN 1334.
The materials and upholstery of the SIR mattresses shall be guaranteed for 5 years against any abnormal sagging or premature deformation arising in the course of normal use.” Abnormal sagging” means a loss of height greater than 10% of the overall height of the mattress.
The ticking, sewing thread, zips, handles and any other elements, the correct maintenance of which is connected with the conditions of use, are excluded from this guarantee.
The finest and most high-performance materials used in SIRs comfort and mattress-support items can be slightly compressed when used. This is normal. A loss of less than 10% of the thickness of the mattress cannot justify a complaint.
Under no circumstances may this guarantee cover deterioration arising from normal use, nor from negligence or the fault of the user such as incorrect handling, falls, breakages, accidents, use of force, abnormal humidity and heat, alterations or modifications made to the product.
During the guarantee period, the supplier of the SIR BEDDING COLLECTION, HOTELYS, shall undertake to repair or replace any product which has been certified defective with an identical or equivalent product.
This guarantee excludes any mattress distorted as a result of use on an unsuitable bed base having excessive hollows, humps or surface roughness, gaps of more than 6 cm between open slats or slatted metal frames.
This guarantee also systematically excludes, even if all other conditions apply, any product showing soiling or stains caused by body fluids or unknown sources.
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE GUARANTEE
Any complaint must be sent to whoever sold you the product. It must be accompanied by a receipt providing the date and place of purchase or a delivery order, as well as this guarantee document.
No exchange or repair may extend the initial duration of the guarantee.
This guarantee does not cover direct and indirect costs of transport and installation necessitated by repairs and exchanges affected under guarantee.
